The exhibition presents over 100 works from the MNBA collection, highlighting the prominence of Black artists. The exhibition is organized outside a traditional chronological structure, encouraging reflections on representation, decoloniality, and identity. It redefines the power of Black individuals to tell their own stories, fostering a necessary dialogue about art and historical reparations. We developed the visual identity and exhibition design through a process that connected design and architecture. The space was carefully crafted to emphasize each artwork and place the artists at the center, ensuring their names and stories take the spotlight.
